Members of the Kisii community have nothing to celebrate over Interior cabinet secretary Fred Matiang’i’s big office in the government now for the ninth year running. If anything, during Matiang’i’s tenure, the community has suffered a lot ranging from being divided, senior officers losing plump jobs in government and above all, the community watching high unemployment cases under the watch of Matiang’i. Due to the frustrations the community has gone through under the leadership of Matiang’i, they now want the Kisii senator Sam Ongeri to take over the community’s leadership as the political kingpin.
