Kenyan youths have a lot of potential, especially in the arts. The government is reminded never to downplay arts but rather promote it.
Jeyb Classic, who comes from Kayole 19/60 sings about contemporary issues in his secular songs. He saiys his dad passed away in 2007 and he has been raised by the mother, who abandoned them after awhile.
“After Dad kupass we were left with mum (my mother) and from their life wasn’t that easy since mum akuwa na any job (wera) ya kutulisha naye akahuwa kutuarbandon too”, he told Kenyanbulletin.com
He goes on to narrate his painful start, where, being the first born, he had to drop out of school to fend for himself and his siblings.
“By then we were staying in Kisumu county Nyalenda estate which we were to pay rent too. Because am the first born of the family ilibidi nilidrop out of school nianze ku-hustle for the sick of my small siblings. And since their up to date I have set my eyes on mum again”.
Governor Sonko
Jeyb C wants to meet his hero Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko.
“I need governor Sonko’s support at least niweze kumaliza something of my projects. You know reaching him as not been that easy’, he wrote.
“I started singing in the year 2015 and my motivation to people is never to lose hope in life no matter what the situation, as long as one knows what he wants in life he/she must always focus forward coz God is always in control. In future I would like to be like Starehe MP Hon. Jaguar coz he is always my mentor and I look up to him, he normally inspire me a lot”, he conludes
