Lawyer Miguna Miguna has launched a scathing attack at Air France Staff after he was ejected from the plane on his way to Kenya.
In a series of tweets on Wednesday, Miguna lamented that the staff of the airline was rude to him. He also said that he had not been refunded his fare yet he was not offered the services he had paid the airline.
The self-proclaimed National Resistance Movement (NRM) leader said that he was comfortable in his seat ready to fly back into the country before he was blocked by the management.
“I had comfortably sat in seat number 22A and the plane was about to take off when Mr. Stephane Seguin, Duty Manager, and another Air France staff removed me from the plane on behalf of the Kenyan tyrants. You have not refunded my fare. Your staff was rude. Shame on @airfrance, ” he tweeted.
The Airline apologized to the politician cum activist for the inconvenience caused to him after he was ejected from the plane.
“Dear Mr. Miguna, we confirm that at the request of the Kenyan authorities, we were obliged to deny boarding. Like all airlines, Air France is required to comply with the entry requirements for the countries it serves, ” tweeted Air France.
The management also revealed that the decision had been reached after a directive from the Kenyan government.
“Dear Mister Miguna, we fully understand your disappointment but confirm, that to comply with international regulations governing air transport we were obliged to deny boarding as soon as we received the request of Kenyan authorities, as Lufthansa had to do it this morning,”
