Miraa thief loses limbs in Tigania

A rather brutal way of settling disputes in Meru County has been in existence for a long time.

“Panga justice” like many love to call it, is a quick and bloody way of gaining vengeance that involves chopping off limbs as punishment to local thieves, especially those out for the precious miraa crop.

This past week, a young man in Tigania West Constituency became the latest victim of this brutal method of retribution after angry residents caught him on someone’s farm.

In an extremely graphic piece of footage, the helpless chap is seen begging for mercy as the ruthless perpetrators watched on without any remorse.

Below are images and a video from the incident.
