Moha Jicho Pevu accuses Joho of trying to stab him using a knife

Nyali MP Mohammed Ali, alias Moha Jicho Pevu on Tuesday, December 15 accused Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho of trying to stab him with a knife.

The vocal legislature who is among Deputy President William Ruto’s allies that have been drumming up support for an Independent candidate for Msambweni by-election Feisal Bader.

Taking to his Facebook page, Ali claimed that the Mombasa County boss’ action was a move of attempted murder.

He went on to state that he had filed a report at Diani Police Station.

He added that Hassan Joho’s move was a sign of cheap politics telling him to grow up and have a life.

Joho is supporting Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) candidate Omar Boga to reclaim the seat after it was left vacant following the death of Suleiman Dori.

Joho is yet to respond to the claims.

Earlier on police arrested former Machakos Senator Johnston Muthama at Jomo Kenyatta primary school in Msambweni.

The men in uniform blocked Muthama and detained him despite the reason for his arrest being unknown.

Muthama and other leaders had been monitoring the voting exercise during the arrest.

The former legislature took to his Twitter account revealing that he had been arrested in Diani and had been booked at KPA Police Station.

He added that he had severally been trying to ask the reason for his arrest claiming that they were orders from above.
