Murang’a Senator secures Ndindi Nyoro’s release after securing a deal with state officials

Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata has secured the release of troubled Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro.

According to the Irungu, Mr Nyoro will not be charged after he secured a deal with state officials.

On Tuesday morning, Inspector-General of Police Hillary Mutyambai stated that he had recalled the probe file from Murang’a County for “review and guidance from the DPP.

Murang’a County Commander Josphat Kinyua, had insisted that “Legal action will be taken against the MP and other culprits involved in the incident.”

Nyoro was arrested during a town hall meeting that was live on television from Murang’a, sparking outrage from locals.

Residents blocked Kenyatta Highway, in Murang’a using burning tyres as police shoot in the air and used tear gas to disperse them.
