Murathe’s daughter throw a lavish party amid covid-19 crisis

June Tuto, the daughter of Jubilee Party’s Vice chairman David Murathe threw a lavish white themed party in their ranch in Kiambu. The event was a showcase of flashy sports cars, high end fashion, champagne and gourmet buffet.

Held on a sunny sunday, the politician’s daughter event was attended by family, close friends and notable personalities as James Muigai, Miano Muchiri, Linda Ndiritu and Millu Elba among others.

June studies fashion design in Marabella, Spain held her birthday party at a time when the government has banned all public gatherings in efforts to curb the spread of covid-19 disease.

After the curfew was extended in April 6, it was reported that the President Uhuru Kenyatta’s son flouted the curfew and other measures put in place by the government to stem the spread of the virus.

President Kenyatta said that he confronted the son and asked him a personal question after it was reported that he went out.

‘Fine, you’ve gone out, had your fun and enjoyed yourself. But now you have come back and you are with your grandmother… Your grandmother is 80 years plus. If something happens to your grandmother as a result of what you have done, how will you live with yourself?’ I told him it is not about me; it is not about listening to me. It is about how you will live with yourself.” Kenyatta said.

The President has repeatedly emphasized that the reality of the situation in Kenya an the world requires self-discipline. “It’s not about what the government is telling you to do. It’s not about what the President, or the minister of Health is telling you to do.” he added

Many leaders and their households in Kenya have been flouting the rules put in place to grapple with the virus. ODM leader Raila Odinga has also been accused of traversing into Kajiado County to hold political meeting with the COTU boss Francis Atwoli.
