Nairobi Businesswoman Joyce Akinyi Charged With Possession Of Narcotics Worth Kshs. 5 Million
Joyce Akinyi Chinedu, she’s been charged with possession of drugs

Nairobi businesswoman and drug trafficker, Joyce Akinyi has been charged with trafficking narcotics worth Kshs. 5 million.

Ms. Akinyi is a former wife of nigerian narcotics dealer and co-owner of Deep West Club, Nairobi West Antony Chinedu.

She came to the limelight because of Chinedu following their incessant public disagreements. Chinedu was deported immediately Jubilee regime came into power in 2013.

Akinyi was arrested last month alongside a Congolese man with two kilograms of heroine valued at Sh5,588,580.

Ms Akinyi, Ms Peris Anyango Omondi and Mr Paulin Kalala Musankinshay appeared before Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) Law Courts Magistrate Christine Njagi and denied the charges.

Ms Akinyi and Ms Omondi are further charged with possessing forged Democratic Republic of Congo passports.

The court granted them a Kshs. 2 million bond.
