Kenyans online called out Naivasha Self Service Stores Limited aka Naivas Supermarket for lying about a ThrowBackThursday photo.
Yesterday, Naivas through their Twitter page shared a two photos with year caption attached to both.

Immediately, KoT sleuths saw the photo captioned 1990 had an MPESA shop on it.

I had liked the photo then on careful scrutiny I saw MPESA in 1990 that must have been some crack head time machine from 2006 -1990 so I am going to unlike it now.

A creative KoT offered the explanation to the apparent mixup as below.
They say Naivas started on that building in 1990. They have since moved and the building now has other tenants.

The short of it, is that they didn’t take photos of their starting out in 1990 and returned to take one during MPESA era.
