Norman Magaya Amugira, the NASA coalition party CEO has been under treatment for heart complications after he suffered a heart attack at the Bomas of Kenya during the tallying of presidential elections results in August 2017.

“On this day 3 years ago I suffered a massive heart attack at the Bomas National tallying centre and was lucky to have been in company of my Dr comrade @OduwoNoahAkala who gave me first aid & got me to hosp just in time . The following morning @6am my dad rested while I was in ICU”, he tweeted.

The lawyer suffered ill health after that incident and was only taken to proper medical care after Former ODM Party Deputy Director of Communications Seth Odongo alias Dikembe Disembe brought his issue to the fire in 2019.

Magaya was then taken abroad after a short stabilization at Nairobi Hospital and was supposed to be treated for 3 weeks. However, his condition was serious and he had since been on a long medical holiday.

He for the first time shared that his dad died as few days after he was taken to hospital.

The agony of having to organize the burial of my dad on my discharge from hospital only made matters worse. The strongest man I knew on this planet had rested! A dark cloud hovered over the horizon! By the grace of God, we have been able to accept the finality of life.

The promising politician affiliated with the ODM party has also thanked his party leader Raila Odinga for standing with the family throughout the ‘storm’.

“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalms 23:4. The Rt @RailaOdinga took over the role of my dad and through his guidance & counsel, we have withstood the storm. The Amugira family remains eternally grateful to @RailaOdinga for his fatherly advise and care . He has made the burden of losing a dad bearable. Continue resting with the angels dad till we meet again . To God be the glory!,” he wrote.
