American female rapper Nicki Minaj has apologized to fellow Singer T-Pain for turning down his request for a collaboration back in 2007.
In a recent interview, the ‘Buy You A Drink’ Singer detailed how he sought Nicki for a possible work together but was let down with Nicki citing a busy work schedule.
“We were about to work together and she stopped responding and I was like, ‘Nick,’ Hey, I’m an artist too and I’m working on my shit you know. Baby, chill. And I was like, ‘Oh… My heart, ” Recalled T-Pain.
In most cases it is always the big artists who turn down the underground artists’ request for collaborations and not vice-versa.
By 2007, T-Pain was already a world class entertainer with Nicki being an underground rapper.
With T. Pain’s revelation on Shade Room, Nicki got wind of the interview and slid in tendering her apology while at the same time acknowledging the thirst to work with the Singer.
“I don’t remember this AT All but it DEF sound like smthn I would say 😒😂omg what was I thinking? He was already a rlly big artist. I was still underground. Chileeeeeee I used to b buggin yo😭I was under so much pressure to deliver 😫my bad babe, all love” she said.
