Police are probing an incident in which the body of a woman was found at a flowerbed in Kilimani after a house party.
Workers at the Santonia Court discovered Sheila’s Murage’s body on the flowerbed with blood oozing from her nose.
She also appeared to have sustained back injuries and was reportedly holding a half-smoked stick of bhang.
Neighbors at the court- which has six units manned on a 24-hour basis by G4S guards- did not hear any commotion on the said night, but said there was a party on the second floor.
The deceased was at the party alongside three other people among them, the apartment’s tenant Claire Chepkoech, according to reports by the Daily Nation.
The three were divided on when the deceased actually left the party, as the mystery of how she ended up dead deepens.
A post-mortem report on the deceased’s body revealed that she may have been hit on the back of the head.
Dr Frank Njenga who conducted the autopsy at City Mortuary said the injuries on the back of her head were consistent with blunt force trauma.
Detectives handling the mater have arrested Claire Chepkoech Nge’no, Christine Awuor Aluoch and Shem Lwanga Mang’ula.
They will be arraigned in court on Thursday.
At least 10 people have been interrogated on the mysterious death, with detectives taking samples and analysing CCTV footage.
Detectives have reason to believe that the three suspects know what happened to the deceased as their versions of events were contradictory.
It is also not clear who had invited the deceased to the party although tenants said Njeri was a regular at the apartment block’s 5th floor.
The apartment is leased by its owner on AirbnB with neighbors saying Njeri used it frequently.
