The Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) is set to conduct a test run at the newly-constructed Green Park matatu terminus on Friday, May 28.

In a notice, NMS Director General Major General Mohammed Badi said the test run will involve dropping and picking passengers between 4pm and 8pm.

Thereafter, normal PSV pick-up and drop-off operations will continue from the Nairobi Railway Station frontage until further notice.

As part of its decongestion strategies, NMS seeks to construct public service transport termini for PSVs in a bid to restore order in the city.

Badi added that the process is entering the transition phase of commissioning the terminal.

NMS conducted a similar exercise last month where matatus from Ngong, Kibera, Rongai and Dagoreti terminated their journeys at the terminus in the early morning hours.
