ODM Leader Raila Odinga is ditching old political friends, outgrowing some or he is simpliy switching and moving on.
He used the last weeks mini-polls Kibra which he called his ‘bedroom’ to test the sharpness of his new team. He has ditched ANC Leader Musalia Mudavadi, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula and Wiper’s Kalonzo Musyoka. He has never ascended to state house with those guys in his team.
The win in Kibra by-election coupled with BBI politics will be the launchpads to chart the 2022 dream and politics. ,
Mr. Odinga who was leading a thanksgiving rally at Kibra’s D.C grounds said that the win is not only for the residents of Kibra but will shape the entire nation.
He also added that their win shows that people are tired of politics of deceit and corruption and money will be used to mute them at the ballot.
Raila paraded his new friends poached from his political foes and some were his fierce critics of the past. His new line-up majorly comprises of politicians from Mt Kenya and Ukambani regions.
His biggest catch in Raila’s new is Kiambu’s Deputy Governor James Nyoro who served as DP William Ruto’s advisor before quitting in 2015 to plunge into politics.
This is adding woes to DP’s efforts to inherit win President Uhuru’s vote-rich Mt Kenya backyard.
Odinga’s team has Jubilee’s Kieleweke faction led by Maina Kamanda, Kilemi Mwiria, former Dagoretti Mp David Waweru and Chrangany’s Joshua Kutuny.
Other serious politician from Jubilee who defied the party to support Imran Okoth are all pictured in the new team. Ann Waiguru, Rachael Shebesh, Fatuma Gedi and Beatrice Elachi.
Joshua Kutuny is working ways to be Odinga’s pointman in the rift dominated by DP William Ruto. Odinga raided Mudavadi’s bedroom and took off with Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala and Mp Godfrey Osotsi.
Cherang’any MP Joshua Kutuny is emerging as Raila’s point man in Rift valley, an area perceived to be under the tight grip of Deputy President William Ruto. He too attended Raila’s Sunday rally.
Raila has also bagged all the three governors of Ukambani region, a move that has left Kalonzo stripped and exposed for Ruto to ‘buy,. Charity Ngilu of Kitui, Kivutha Kibwana of Makueni and Alfred Mutua of Mchakos, all stood with Odinga in the Kibra by election.
