Payback time? Jimmy Wanjigi seeks police help in latest tussle

Jimmy Wanjigi

Popular city tycoon Jimmy Wanjigi has rushed to the police over a new Ksh. 400 million land ownership pitting him against two other businessmen.

According to reports seen by Kenyanbulletin.com, all the three tycoons claim that they possess ownership documents of the one-acre land situated at General Mathenge Road in Westlands.

Wanjigi, as a result, dashed to Parklands Police Station to make his case but the other two unidentified businessmen did not show up.

So serious is the tussle that the land in question has been taken over by the Land Fraud Unit at the DCI headquarters.

The publication further indicated that DCI George Kinoti had ordered that the case be moved to the headquarters owing to its seriousness.

In his statement, Wanjigi claims that he bought the parcel but fails to reveal the date of the purchase and its cost.

He also accused the two rivals of colluding with senior officials at the Ardhi House to illegally acquire the expensive parcel.

He further explained that he had constantly been paying land rates and rent to the government since he acquired it.

The tussle first came up when Wanjigi was looking to sell the land. He was in discussion with the buyer when the two businessmen from Kitengela came up.
