‘Please Shut Up’ Kenyans to Kagwe

Health CS Mutahi Kagwe

As the numbers of patients suffering from coronavirus continues to increase in Kenya, many people are increasingly becoming irritated by the lack of new message and lack of respect from the Ministry of Health.

Today’s Covid-19 update according to MoH

The anger that is simmering has meant that the ministry has been labelled a Ministry of Heist following revelations of use of Sh4 million to buy tea and snacks yet at the same time overcharging Kenyans through a cartel mafia that lies to them to go get tested at Mbagathi Hospital only to send them along state house road to Lady Northley Dental Clinic, to get clearance certificates from a private clinic where people pay to be released.

No testing is really done there.

In the past one week, Kenyans were waiting with bated breathe that the lockdown and curfew that have not worked in flattening the rate of infections and as such President Kenyatta would be obliged to open the country. But yesterday, most of the hungry, battered, and jobless Kenyans watched with horror as Kenyatta just like his MoH numbers based his reason to continue the curfew and lockdown on some unnamed experts.

Most people, especially hawkers who walk all day selling wares in the estates, if you ask them if they’ve seen any testing centres or better still if they’ve seen any person getting tested, they’ve reported none. Yet health CS Mutahi Kagwe or one of his team members will never hesitate to stand in front of cameras in the afternoon to announce thousands of tests and hundreds of new infections.

Where do they get the numbers?

Kenyans are hurting

People have lost jobs, this number has risen to over a million.

Let’s not forget that the economy was tanking even before Covid-19 arrived on our shores

The gov’t irresponsible and bad manners in terms of expenditure has hatched conspiracy theories about how the appointment of Auditor General has been delayed so that theft can go on unreported.

There’s not really anything any PR can explain away.

The lockdown seems unnecessary and founded on propaganda just as the ones claiming Covid-19 has been overhyped have been accused of propaganda.

The message is clear, people see the announcement of new Covid-19 infections as a charade, a way to get into the pockets of the world financial institutions that donate huge sums of cash to countries.

For example, there’s a way Kenya’s Covid-19 numbers even seem unbelievable.

Ethiopia which tests up to 6000 samples per day, reports about 50 positive Covid-19 cases, where Kenya whose centres of testing aren’t even visible and most have shunned them reports over 150 consistently for a week from 2000. How?
