Police in Nairobi are investigating an incident where an unidentified man shot a security guard who was manning a warehouse on Moi Avenue.
Reports indicate that suspected robbers raided the facility which occurred on Friday afternoon.
The owner, a licensed gun holder, apparently opened fire at them but missed; instead, the bullet hit the guard in the head, killing him instantly.
A crowd gathered at the scene as people tried to catch a glimpse of the deceased.
The body was later taken to the City morgue pending an autopsy.
During the incident, another civilian who was passing by was hit by a stray bullet and later rushed to hospital.
According to a police officer who spoke on condition of anonymity, they are investigating the matter.
He said the suspect is recording a statement with them.
