A man jumped off a moving bus that was heading to Isiolo from Moyale near School of Artillery. He disappeared into the thicket, the police who visited and cordoned the area, conducted a thorough search and arrested the suspect.
Upon interrogation it was established that he was a police office, APC Nathan Cheruiyot of Rural Border Patrol Unit, Moyale.
He sustained injuries on the right knee and the right elbow. Cheruiyot was rushed to the nearby Isiolo County Referral Hospital where he was treated and discharged.
The motive for the attempted suicide has not been established but the suspect remains in custody pending investigations.
