Politically sponsored killings in Marsabit that the media isn’t talking about

There’s mysterious killings that ‎happened in Marsabit a few days ago that has escaped the mainstream media.

‘I hope you must have heard the ongoing tribal conflict between two belligerents -Borana & Gabra in Marsabit County, notably Saku constituency’, Kenyan Bulletin was told.

A few days ago 13 people of the Borana clan were killed in two separate but simultaneously incidents that took place from 0400hrs and lasted till 1241hrs.

Over 3800 heads of cattle were stolen in this incident. However, some Borana fighters managed to repel the attack.

Surprisingly, the bullet shell used by Gabra militiamen had K1 codes which belongs to the Kenyan state.

The militia are said to have used password shutouts according to witnesses.

“Militia used passwords to call out since they don’t know each other personally, implying that they were brought from different areas like Isiolo, Moyale or from neighboring Degodia clan”.

Sources indicate that some were promised Sh50k cash in taking part in attacks and more for family when lost in battle field.

Someone seems to be reaping big time from trafficking in small arms and light weapons.

How does guns bought by the state that were supposed to protect citizens end up in militia hands harming citizens?

Why is the state machinery reluctant in protecting its citizens?

Seems like someone high in govt is sponsoring this and benefiting.

“For close to two months no bodabodas were allowed. People are suffering including the ones whose militia are causing havoc, they have moved as IDPs to Nanyuki, Isiolo and others to Moyale. This conflict may cross the border to Ethiopia and the outcome would be an unimaginable. Ifikie to those ‘interested’ govt officials since the tasked ones seem uninterested’, a source that spoken to Kenyan Bulletin said.
