President Uhuru Kenyatta sent a special congratulatory message to the Deputy President William Ruto’s daughter June Ruto on her lavish wedding with her Nigerian fiance Alexander Ezenagu which was held at the DP’s Karen home on Thursday, 27 May.
President Kenyatta in a personal message to the second Ruto, promised to visit the family and the newlyweds after the Madaraka Day celebrations.
“Pongezi tena…you’ll tell them, right? Pongezi sana, nitawaona labda nikitoka huko Kisumu,” reads president Kenyatta’s message to his deputy.
The two leaders left Parliament Buildings after the 18th National Prayer Breakfast, DP headed to Karen while the head of state went to graduation ceremony at the National Defence College in Karen.
President Kenyatta’s absence at DP Ruto’s daughter wedding became the talk of the town with some blaming it on the tatty relationship between the President Kenyatta and his deputy.
“Imagine President Uhuru missing June Ruto’s wedding because of politics. Congratulations June, you made a stunning bride. Joy and Happiness and will have an address in your home,” Nairobi politician Karen Nyamu commented.
