Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu Hassan has been unanimously elected the first woman Chairperson of the Tanzania’s ruling party, Chama Cha Mapenduzi (CCM).
President Suluhu was unanimously endorsed as the new party’s National Chairperson during the Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) Party’s Extraordinary Congress held in Dodoma, Tanzania on Friday, April 30, 2021.
Suluhu garnered all the 1,862 votes during the event that took place at Jakaya Kikwete Convention Centre (JKCC).
