President Uhuru’s State of Nation Address

President Uhuru Kenyatta was set to outline new measures for fight Covid-19 on Saturday morning but seems that will not happen.

“Due to unavoidable circumstances, H.E President Uhuru Kenyatta will address the nation at 2pm EAT and NOT 11:15 EAT as earlier communicated. We apologize for the inconvenience,” Statehouse Chief of Staff

Kenyans are bracing themselves for the biggest disappointment from the Head of State and government. The current political changes has KOT filled with witty predictions on what will happen.

President Uhuru, during past media addresses, has hinted at the reopening of the economy and relaxation of the restrictions.

CS Magoha on the other had said reopening of schools will be guided by Health situation; asks parents to prepare to stay with children longer.

“If you have no time to look after your child, then perhaps you have no business creating a child; parents must change their mindset,” CS Magoha said.

Kenyans had been sharing funny vines on the social media sites on the negative effects the lockdowns and closure of schools has for the young.

Videos and pictures have flooded various social media platforms showing how anxious Kenyans are just like high school students awaiting the closure of schools or visiting day.

A rather disappointing video is that of the president arriving to make his address only to extend the curfew for a further 21 more days.

Derek Otieno said; Re-opening of the economy is a catch 22 situation for the President. There is a possibility that the move will attract a retrogressive reaction. The question is, will we be forced to lock down again if this happens?

We all hopping for the best while the rest might be seing a dark omen that in one way or another is not visible from our naked eyes.

The Talai elders on Friday performed sacrifices and cleansed Deputy President William Ruto to protect him from harm and political miseries. The two-hour elaborate ceremony was organised by the Nandi Laibons Council of Elders and was conducted in Kipsirwo village from 5am to 7am. It was meant to protect the DP from bad omens.

For two months now, we have been doing everything in our power to convince the President to have mercy on us and our families who have suffered since the government put a thermostat on our mobility and a superglue on our bank accounts.

We also trust that our epidemiology and disease surveillance experts have been sending periodical presentations to the President, detailing the shape of Kenya’s Covid-19 graph and what the President should do to bend it like Cristiano Ronaldo.
