Raila closes 2019 still ‘chillin’ for easy presidency

Whoever coarsed him to shake the hands must be a big ‘broker’ in town; his guy is running the errands well. After Opposition leader Raila Odinga became a darling to the regime that he claimed stole his ‘win’ twice, he forgot about his position and his job description.
He forgot about his dreams and BBI is the end year report. The bridge is crossing Baba home. How the do you expect a man who has been your serious opponent like President Kenyatta to just push you to the top when he retires like that? He must be having long-time loyalists in his circles to consider.
He could still be having friends and ‘puppet politicians’ like Musalia Mudavadi to consider. Mudavadi had been a vice president for eight weeks, he has been elected once since 2002, but he is a conservative, he understands how the system works and he believes in the system, Odinga is still fumbling. He has not ‘healed’ from the ‘handshake’ culture shock.
He is still there smiling, happy and acting overzealous. Mudavadi was a long time top government minister. He understands the value of power but lacks the numbers to get there. Talk about financial muscles, he has been a ‘project’ and he can still be one. He was the president’s running mate in 2002, which means he is loyal; he can be trusted by the president.
Raila is known for joining KANU in 2002 and walking way with the ‘heart of the party’ in the run up to 2002 general elections. Uhuru ‘knows’ what he does when he is invited. He is a man to welcome but not trust. Leave him in the limbo when you’re done doing business with him, he will find his way home. To the opposition and this time it can be worse, to retirement because that is the report his own BBI gave him.
Mudavadi who many ODM yellers call a coward is escorting the president to open new barracks. Raila is expecting the retiring president who is calling him a ‘big brother’ to endorse him, please! 90% of communication is non verbal.
The deputy president William Ruto scores in both because he knows ‘the value of presidency’; he politically grew up with the likes of Mudavadi around Retired President Daniel Moi. He is putting in work and not pushing to achieve it by ‘massaging’ the constitution or reconstructing it with crazy surgeries.
Raila wants people to believe that he is always the favourite all the time and he is always right, then stops at that and ‘chills’ for favours. People who know the value of this thing don’t do that, they create the ‘favours’ and that’s how you become a big boy. You own the favours so people will bow before you.
The guy, who is cleverly winning in the widening rift between President Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto, is not Odinga but Mudavadi. He is begging for it like a good boy, Odinga is chilling for it.
How do you chill for presidency and choke your supporters with a ceremonial seat? He wants it easy and just for him. Experts are repeating it to him even through the BBI report that nothing will ever be created just for him?
People work for these positions, sell family property. Politics is dirty, players do crazy things. Even the western world is not rocking with Odinga that seriously of late, Mudavadi is the guy going on tours and lectures abroad. He spent time lecturing on African politics in America.
Yes, the same America that barred Busia senator Amos Wako from stepping in her land because he is tainted with corruption allowed Mudavadi in. Mudavidi was widely mentioned in Goldenberg Scandal, if Wako is corrupt, Mudavadi must be corrupt too.
But may the world is getting ready to work with him, he understands the system, he is sober and he can be forgiven for his wrongs. He can also be used to send more attacks at Odinga and send him to retirement. The book he recently released was nothing but a piece to hit Odinga.
Odinga is an envoy but he is still stuck in local politics in Kibra when he should be staying connected to the diplomatic core and championing real and relevant change or better still, he should be guiding his player around the ring.
It’s like the western world gave him some threats to keep him peaceful at home. He is not travelling like before. Those guys don’t hang with people who support the same thing they oppose.
If anything they know ways to be close to any regime and execute their plots. BBI report was a big nail; it put cracks on the coffin. Extension of BBI taskforce tenure should give Baba a happy 2020.
