Raila Odinga Junior held a meeting with the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti on Thursday, April 29, 2021.
The son of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader held a private meeting with the DCI Boss and discussed matters to do with security in the country.
“It was a private meeting which I can’t disclose much about, but I liked that he was very humble. We talked about the transformation in the DCI and future of crime-fighting,” Raila Junior said.
Raila Junior took to his social media platforms and posted a message revealing that the duo met and discussed matters to do with the security in the country.

“It was a great privilege and honour meeting with the DCI head George Kinoti, He impacted upon me his great knowledge on matters security and law.”
“He also shared with me his wisdom as a leader in showing me how he has modernized the DCI,” He stated.
The DCI has made tremendous efforts in the fight against crime in the country including the acquisition of a Talino Forensics Workstation.
“The crime analysis gadget will be a game-changer in the manner we investigate and analyse crimes specifically; financial and economic crimes, terrorism, online exploitation of children, trafficking, malware analysis, and reverse engineering among others,” the DCI stated.
The DCI had acquired another device called a Universal Forensic Extraction Device (UFED) which is able to crack passwords on electronic devices.

The UFED can also access the physical, logical and file system data and passwords.
Kinoti had also launched 0800722203 as the toll-free number to be used by Kenyans to report crimes.
Recently, Kinoti unveiled a team of nine certified personnel who will be in charge of hunting down credit card fraudsters.
