Raila returns to Kenya quietly same way he left

Suna East Constituency MP Junet Mohamed with Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho rearing to go to Dubai. The handbag beneath the table caused a lot of debate in Kenya

On June 22nd 2020, various reports said that ODM Party leader Raila Odinga had secretly left the country to seek medical treatment abroad.

ODM machinery and RailaManiacs dismissed the reports as fake stating that the AU High infrastructure and development boss had gone to the Congo to launch a dam. It was a blatant lie. But for what? Raila, it was confirmed later, had gone to seek treatment for a nerve problem affecting his leg and hips.

“‪Ignore the fake news. It is the work of sick people who have run out of ideas. Hon. Raila Odinga is currently in Kinshasa, DRC in his capacity as the AU High Representative for Infrastructure Development in Africa for the virtual Pan African Conference on the Grand Inga Dam.” Philip Etale, the ODM Communications Director had stated.

Yesterday, the boss of a local media house that has been in the news for overrated headlines tweeted rather metaphorically that. ‘About an hour ago, the famous handbag jet made a stop at JKIA on its way to Lusaka’.

Turns out he was telling the truth. Raila Odinga had quietly returned to Kenya.

Mr Odinga made a quiet return into the country on Sunday evening aboard the luxurious Constellation Aviation Airline Airbus A318-112(CJ) Elite A6-CAS, MS4211.

Last Thursday, ODM deputy party leader and Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho, together with minority whip Minority Whip Junet Mohamed, left the country aboard the same jet for Dubai where they were expected to accompany the party leader back into the country on Sunday.

The Airbus A318 private jet boasts of mahogany interiors, an entourage lounge, VIP dining and lounge area, a private office, and a VIP bedroom “designed to make our clients feel right at home during long flights,”, the operator said of the aircraft on its website.

We at kenyanbulletin.com wish Raila Odinga a quick recovery.
