Roba Duba re-elected as County Government Workers Union secretary general

 Former Moyale MP Roba Duba has been re-elected as the Kenya County Government Workers Union (KCGWU) national secretary general for another five-year term.

Roba defeated the outgoing Deputy General Secretary Matilda Chebet in an election held at the Tom Mboya Labour College in Kisumu City on Friday.

He is serving his third term.

Roba garnered 268 votes while Chebet got 109 votes with Abdigani Bashir emerged third with 2 votes.

John Ndunda was the elected Deputy General Secretary with 258 votes.

Tom Kangethe was elected the National Treasurer with 226 votes while Mercy Muthoni was elected National Women Representative.

Collins Nkoitoi was elected National Youth Representative with 233 votes.

Roba has welcomed his re-election and pledged to tirelessly champion the rights of workers.
