Ruto: Raila used militia in the bedroom

Deputy President William Ruto has dismissed rumours that Raila Odinga’s ODM party planted spies around Jubilee campaign team in the just concluded mini-polls in Kibra.

There media reports that Raila planted men around Ruto’s team and countered all their moves in the run up to the Kibra elections held on Thursday, November 7th.

The DP instead accused Mr. Odinga of hiring militia to cause chaos and disrupt the mini polls where ODM’s Imran Okoth carried the day.

Ruto that it is sad that the same Raila advocating for the Building Bridges Initiative under the handshake has not learnt any lessons about ‘backward’ politics.

Through a tweet, DP claimed the only strategy and structure Tinga’s party succeeded in was chaos, violence, mayhem & terror executed by Odinga’s militia.
ODM candidate beat the 24 contestants by garnering 24,363, followed by Jubilee’s McDonald Mariga with 11,230 and Mudavadi’s candidate, Eliud Owalo managed some 5000 votes.

More than 41,980 out of the 118,658 registered voters in Kibra turned up to cast their ballots in the by-election which recorded a low turn out of 35.38 per cent.
