Ruto Uses US President Biden’s Tweet to Vindicate His 'Hustler' Campaign

Deputy President William Ruto has continued to defend his ‘Hustler’ campaign ideology ahead of the 2022 general elections.  Through Twitter, Ruto shared a screengrab of US President Joe Biden’s tweet in an attempt to justify his ‘Hustler movement’, which seeks to empower low-income earners and change the country’s economic policy from the top down to bottom up to ensure resources get to ordinary citizens. “Trickle-down economics has never worked. It’s time to grow the economy from the bottom up and middle out,” reads President Biden’s tweet dated April 29th, 2021.
