Deputy President William Ruto’s first-born daughter June Ruto has tied the knot with her Nigerian fiancé Alexander Ezenagu.

The two exchanged marriage vows in a lavish invite-only ceremony held at Ruto’s residence in Karen, Nairobi on Thursday.

Pictures shared online show June dressed in a stunning white gown as her parents walked her down the aisle. Ruto wore a tuxedo while his wife was in a pink long dress. The groom donned a dark suit.

The event was attended by Ruto’s political allies including Caleb Kositany, Oscar Sudi, Millicent Omanga, Susan Kihika, Aaron Cheruiyot, Kipchumba Murkomen, among others.

The white wedding comes barely three weeks after June and Ezenagu got engaged in a traditional ceremony in which Ruto and his wife Rachel hosted their Nigerian in-laws at their Karen home on May 8th.

Ezenagu is an Assistant Professor of Taxation and Commercial Law at Hamad Bin Khalifa University in Qatar.

He is an Associate Research Fellow (Trade, Investments and Public-Private Partnerships) at the Institute for Oil, Gas, Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development Institute of Afe Babalola University in Nigeria.

Ezenagu holds a doctorate in International Tax Law from McGill University, Canada, and a Master of Law degree (LL.M) in Commercial Law from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom.

He is also the founder of The Excellence Movement (TEM), a group focused on mentoring youths and promoting the culture of excellence among students.

June, who studied international relations at the University of Queensland in Australia, currently serves as Kenya’s Charge d’Affaires in Poland.

She also holds a bachelor’s degree in diplomacy from the United States International University (USIU) in Nairobi.
