Safaricom Plc recently announced plans to increase internet speeds in order to blind clients into not speaking about its tortoise internet speeds.

According to sources, the announcement coincided with a problem in the system occasioned by a hacking that had taken place. The system hack had affected internet speeds.

Fearing a backlash, the Telco hurriedly announced increased bandwidths and prices for all its users in the Safaricom HomeFibre.

“Safcom wanted this to be the talk of the day and possibly coming weeks, and not the slow internet speeds”, the source said.

Peter Ndegwa, Safaricom CEO

After Peter Ndegwa took over as CEO, there have been many service improvement notices with no notable change in service. In fact, kenyanbulletin.com monitors show deterioration in service.
