Kapsaret Member of Parliament has leveled his plea to the Head of state concerning the underway plans to evict Mau settlers.

The outspoken asked the Commander in Chief to consider possible long term solution to the evictees before they are driven out of Mau forest.

Sudi was speaking on Friday during the burial of the late Evangelist Caleb Kiptanui Borom Arap Ross in Kimuri, Ngeria Ward, Kapsaret Constituency.

While speaking during the ceremony, Kapsaret MP said that the Kenyatta and Moi families should give out a portion of their lands for resettling the Mau evictees if the eviction is going to be effected.

The MP alleges that the big portions of land owned by the two families belong to Kenya at large.

Mau forest phase two eviction has already seen 15 schools shut down. The government has shut down 15 schools set up in areas targeted in the second phase of evictions in the Mau Forest.

Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya, on Wednesday, said the schools are not government institutions and have been set up in the area illegally.
