A senior Kenyan immigration officer died after unknown gunmen attacked him on Sunday. Reports indicate that Philip Sitienei was on a morning run along the Lokichoggio–Nadapal highway in Turkana West when he was shot dead. Confirming the 7:30 am incident, Assistant County Commissioner Kennedy Omollo said the 43-year-old died of multiple gunshot wounds on the head, shoulder, and leg. “The deceased was murdered after assailants ambushed him and shot him several times. We have launched an investigation into the incident,” Omollo said.
