Corrupt Nakuru County Government officials were left reeling in shame after a pit latrine said ti be constructed at KSh 1.5 million sunk hours before its official launch.
The shoddy construction of the four-door pit latrine at Kabatini Ward Administration offices was done by Carofa Enterprises in a perceived dubious tender process.
Workers were about to report to the site on Thursday morning ahead of the Friday official opening when the 30-feet lavatory came tumbling down.

Kabatini Ward MCA Peter Macharia blamed cartels within the county government of colluding with rogue contractors to steal tax payers’ money through poor quality building materials and poor workmanship.
“We than God the latrine hadn’t been launched for use, otherwise we’d be talking of a tragedy now,” laments Macharia.
