Former Urban Renewal Housing and Project management Chief Officer Marion Rono, County attorney Lydia Kwamboka, acting deputy director of quantity survey MM Muiruri and procurement officer Preston Miriti have also appeared before EACC for questioning.

County supply chain manager Patrick Mwangangi, former county secretary Peter Kariuki, youth and sports Chief Officer Abdimutalib Ibrahim and JK Mriria from the public works and transport department were not left out either.

Reports have further revealed that those interviewed by EACC maintained that they were under pressure to award the lucrative deal to Scanjet Construction Limited stating that no tendering process was done instead just asking Abu to bring the quotation needed.

According to EACC, the construction of the four stadia was overquoted three times and a number of payments made in suspicious way even before the projects were undertaken.

The stadiums under investigaions are Dandora (Sh350 million), Kawangware (Sh250 million), Kihumbuini (Sh250 million) and Ziwani (Sh186.6 million).

Already, public procurement agency has questioned irregular payments of Sh196.8 million in the ongoing construction of Dandora Stadium.
