English side West ham united are expected to conclude their quest for Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder Victor Wanyama amid increasing interests from Norwich City, Celtic and Galatasaray.
The Harambee Stars captain had been linked to a return to Scottish club, Celtic after the Belgian club, Brugge changed their mind to pursue Granit Xhaka’s signature instead.
English dailies including ‘The Daily Mail’ have reported that the Kenyan international may sign with the Hammers in this transfer window.
It is also reported that West Ham are interested in signing four central mid fielders including Stoke City’s Joe Allen, Nantes Abdoulaye You’re and Getafe’s Nemanja Maksimovic.
But Takvim, a Turkish outlet has also reported that Galatasaray and Spurs are already in talks to acquire the services of Wanyama who has only played for nine minutes under Jose Mourinho.
Galatasaray aim to switch the midfielder with AS Roma loaned Steven Nzonzi.
Norwich City has also shown interest in Wanyama’s services as Spurs look for ways to consolidate funds to boost Mourinho’s transfer demands.
This means Wanyama who has lost his place in the Spurs squad must be sold if the right offer comes.
Mourinho has already indicated that he prefers the likes of Harry Winks, Eric Died and Tangary Ndombe who get more play time as Wanyama is kept on the sideline.
Wanyama joined Spurs from Southampton in the Summer of 2016 but since last season, his stint at the White heart lane has been marred by injuries that have kept him out of action.
