The Azimo coalition party flagbearer Raila Odinga will today file his presidential petition at the highest court in Kenya today.

The president-elect, for his defense, has assembled a team of lawyers led by Senior Counsel Fred Ngatia, who granted President Uhuru Kenyatta legal victory in the  20213 election petition.

Ngatia will have the backing of renowned city lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi, and former Law Society of Kenya (LSK) president Nelson Havi. Other lawyers include Ruto’s Chief Agent, Prof Kithure Kindiki, Adrian Kamotho and Collins Kiprono.

It is reported that Four IEBC Commissioners who REFUTED Wafula Chebukati’s Presidential Election Results just confirmed that they will indeed, file affidavits in support of Azimio La Umoja petition at the Supreme Court of Kenya

Azimio leader Raila Odinga has assembled a battery of high-powered lawyers for an epic Supreme Court battle to overturn William Ruto’s presidential victory.

Senior counsels James Orengo, who is also Siaya governor-elect, Okong’o Omogeni who just retained his Nyamira Senate seat, Kisumu senator-elect Tom Ojienda and constitutional scholar Ben Shihanya, Senior counsel Pheroz Nowrjee, former Director of Public Prosecutions Philip Murgor, senior counsel and Rarieda MP-elect Otiende Amollo are among those the ODM boss has assembled to save his political future.

Opinions are divided on whether lawyers who have been declared governors-elect can personally argue court cases, as governorship is an executive function.

Others are Suba North MP-elect Millie Odhiambo, her Homa Bay Town counterpart Peter Kaluma and Makueni Senator-elect Dan Maanzo.
