Yester evening, an inferno razed down two storeyed classes at the Nairobi-based Starehe Boys’ Centre.
The school, which is said to be in midterm breaks—even though students were still present—has not explained clearly the cause of the fire. Onlookers who have an ear in the institution allege that the Center was holding some students against their will and that might have been the genesis of the Saturday evenings fire.
However, Kenyan Bulletin could not authoritatively verify the allegations.
Acting Director Josphat Mwaura said the fire started in the workshop and then spread to the study block. He did not start the preliminary cause of the fire too.
Mwaura before the release of the official statement, which is more of a PR gimmick, He said two Nairobi County engines were sent to the scene.

Kenyans On Twitter had this to say about the almost trouble free institution.
You will see that this will not be insinuated to be an act of sabotage as is always accused of schools of lower class citizens.

I hope they don't lose a lot of properties or life in the process… though
Ministry of Education has been very blunt in putting pressure to schools to procure firefighting equipments and provide annual safety training to students, teachers and subordinates. Ignorance!— the Management (@SammyMonoo_) February 15, 2020
