The Mother of Ruaraka Member of Parliament TJ Kajwang died on Sunday morning.
Mama Dorcas Akumu Ajwang is not only the mother of the current Ruaraka MP but two other prominent politicians from the Nyanza region.
This includes the late Otieno Kajwang who was the first senator for Homabay county and Moses Kajwang who is the current senator for Homabay county.
Siaya Senator James Orengo announced the news of the passing on of Mama Dorcas Akumu Ajwang on his official twitter page.
“Condolences to the family of Mwalimu Ajwang’ Nyakwamba on the passing of Mama Dorcas Akumu Ajwang’; mother to the late Sen. Otieno Kajwang’, Sen. Moses Kajwang’, Hon. TJ Kajwang’ and many more. Mama always stood for family values. May the Lord rest her soul in eternal peace,” tweeted Orengo.

TJ Kajwang has been one of the most daring ODM MP as he was the man behind the swearing-in of Raila Odinga in 2018 after which he was charged for treason.
The family has not yet stated the cause of her death.
The late Mama Dorcas passes on 5 years after the passing on of his son Otieno Kajwang in November 2014.
The senator who was well known for his slogan of bado mapambano is said to have died of a cardiac arrest.
Contrary to this medical autopsy, other reports termed the death of the super minister as a mystery.
Other reports stated that James Orengo, who is the family lawyer, also hinted that Kajwang’s death was mysterious.
According to Orengo, just like Tom Mboya, Robert Ouko, and Argwings Kodhek, Kajwang did not die a natural death.
