Sevilla wonderkid Antonio Zarzana who is also under the radar of Liverpool could be Mikel Arteta’s first signing as Arsenal manager, reports from Spain claim.
It is understood that Arsenal and Manchester City have arrived at an agreement over Arteta’s departure from the Etihad and that he will be named as the Arsenal’s new manager by Saturday.
Before the January transfer window Gunners have already made enquiries about the availability of Zarzana, who turned down a move to Real Madrid in 2018.
The 17 year old is highly rated at Sevilla and has also caught the attention of Liverpool and Bayern Munich, according to Estadio Deportivo.
The Spanish media claims Arsenal are the latest club to have spoken to Sevilla about the young midfielder who is currently playing for Sevilla’s B team.
Zarzana turned down a move to Madrid last year because he was keen to make his debut for the first team.
Zarzana can play in different positions but he performs best as an attacking midfielder. After turning rejecting the move to Bernabeu, he had the audacity to score a penalty against Los Blancos in the Champions Cup.
