Thierry lands a tactician job in Major League Soccer

Former French and Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has been appointed as head coach of Montreal Impact that plays MLS in the United States of America.

He has signed a two-year contract with the option of a anaother season, following an unsuccessful stint in French League 1 with Monaco, which was ended in January.

Henry hanged his boots in MLS, scoring 51 goals in 122 appearances for the New York Red Bulls. He is one of the sharpest strikers of his generation and scored a whopping 228 goals for Arsenal to become the club’s all-time record goalscorer.

He will be formally presented at a press conference on Monday and will begin to charge from January.

The club CEO Kevin Gilmore was very happy to announce the nomination of the legendary Frenchman. ”He will bring fresh energy to the club, he shares the club’s vision to elevate and achieve goals on and off pitch’ Mr Gilmore said.

He also lauded Henry as a competitor and a leader who has proven himself at the highest level throughout his career.
