Yeaster evening, Churchill Show’s comedian Joseph Musyoki Kivindu alias Kasee, was found dead on the roadside in Kinoo, Kiambu County.
Word on the streets alleged that the funny young lad had apparently quit alcohol but relapsed in the recent past due to unmentioned issues.
It has been said that Kasee left home to join his friends for drinks but never made it back on time nor ever.
Daniel Ndambuki, the owner of Churchill Show sent his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.
“A really sad way to end the week..it is a bitter pill to swallow but then we cannot question God’s plans.My deepest condolences to the family & friends of Kasee..May your hearts find peace from the almighty.” Churchill posted.
The death of Kasee was a premonition from a fellow comedian 8 months ago.
Eight months ago, yet another Churchill show comedian, Anthony Njenga alias Njenga Mswahili was discovered dead on Dagoretti rail tracks.
He, just like the deceased, was struggling with an undisclosed addiction that saw him get into rehab at some point.
Comedian Zeddy – real name Zainabu Zeddy – warned that there would be a death of a comedian if the industry players did not deal with issues surrounding depression among creatives.
8 months ago while mourning the mysterious death of Churchill Raw comedian Njenga Mswahili, fellow comedienne Zeddy, pointed out that depression is a leading killer among comedians due to low financial gains.
“Sijui nianzie wapi aki! Nko na makasiriko mengi saa hii ? tutapoteza Wasanii wangapi juu ya Depression!!! Rip Bro? ingawa sijui kilicho kufika but najua depression imechangia sana. Ombi langu kwa Jamaa na Familia tuoneni kama nyinyi tu msiweka matumaini mengi kwetu sababu tunatafuta Riziki kama nyinyi tu!” She posted on her social media.
Zeddy also pointed out that there is a comedian who has also fallen off the radar and she was afraid something could have gone wrong.

And 8 months late, On June 28, 2020 to be precise, Comedian Kasee was found dead on the road leading to his home in Kinoo.
His body was transferred to Chiromo Mortuary.

Kasee has left behind a wife and two children.
It is high time these unfortunate deaths get probed by DCI. Young talented lives can’t be perishing just like that.
