Exile lawyer Miguna Miguna has opened a ‘platform’ which he says will enable Kenyans to send information anonymously.
This he says is necessitated by the gagging of bloggers and youths due to the draconian Computer Misuse and Cybercrimes Law.
“ANNOUNCEMENT Because Despot Uhuru Kenyatta has declared war on Kenyan Bloggers, Youth and Freedom Fighters, we have opened a new PLATFORM specifically dedicated to EXPOSING WRONGDOERS – thieves, murderous and abusers of public office. It is called SPEAK FREELY,” Miguna wrote on Facebook and Twitter
The platform come complete with Twitter accounts and email adresses for sending information.
“If you have any information about wrongdoing by any person holding public office regardless of his/her position, power or wealth who has grabbed public or private land; stolen private or public property; abused their power; hiding with a mistress, etc – EXPOSE HIM @LeaksKenyan.”
He continued, “Here are the emails and @Twitter feeds for EXPOSING KENYAN despots, cartels and scoundrels 1. [email protected] 2. [email protected] 3. [email protected] 1. @MigunaMiguna 2. @KenyanWikiLeaks 3. @AfricaWikiLeaks. LET’S START THE GRAND MARCH TO FREEDOM”.
Edgar Obare
Miguna’s call or request for information comes hot in the heels of the arrest of ‘tea master’ Edgar Obare who is being charged with exposing private information concerning Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho and his alleged lover, a Youtuber.
Obare is due today in court after spending the weekend at Gigiri Police Station.
