Tanzania actors, Diamond Platnumz and Zuchu, have come out to set the record straight that they are dating/married as it’s popularly believed.
The Wasafi boss through a statement he shared on his InstaStories on Saturday, February 18, 2023, clarified that Zuchu and him at present are like a sister and a brother.
“Kwa pamoja na Zuhura tunaomba tuwataarifu ya kwamba, kwasasa sisi ni dada na kaka na si wapenzi kama ilivyokua ikidhaniwa ama wengine kujua. (Together with Zuchu, we would like to inform you that, at present, we are sister and brother and not lovers as it has been assumed or known),” Diamond said in part.
But of course, this is controversial to what wasafi FM radio presenter Juma Lokole said.
Lokole confirmed,during an interview with another Tanzanian-based radio station, that his boss and Tanzanian heavy-hitter Diamond Platnumz is indeed dating songstress Zuchu.
“Mimi nawafahamisha Zuchu na Diamond kweli wana mahusiano…sasa hivi ni mwezi moja…wengi walikuwa wanajiuliza hii swali,” said Lokole.
Diamond had sparked dating rumors when he posted a photo of a red-themed date with Zuchu, who is signed under his WCB Wasafi record label, during the December holidays.
He also dedicated romantic songs ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran and ‘What I Want For Christmas’ to the ‘Nyumba Ndogo’ hitmaker.
Further reaffirming the rumors was fellow Wasafi records signee Rayvanny, who posted Zuchu’s photo on Instagram on December 30 and captioned it ‘shem’ (shemeji), meaning in-law.
On Valentine’s Day Zuchu posted a picture on social media and posted photos of Diamond and her without sharing any caption.
In the photos, the two were seen posing together while clad in Muslim attire.
Several people including family members where quick to congratulate Zuchu and Diamond after she shared the photos.Diamond’s sister Esma Platnumz referred Zuchu as a bride while the singer’s cousin and his official DJ Romy Jones wished them well in their marriage.
“Bi harusi,” Esma Platnumz commented.
“Na ndoa yenu ikawe ya kheri inshallah,” Romy Jones commented.
The question here is who is fooling who? or rather are the two singers dating or not.
