A Twitter user by the name Lagaless has called out Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) for being one sided in its war against criminals.
Lagaless stated that DCI is known to arrest ‘found out’ criminals just to showcase to the public that they are working instead of ‘digging deeper’ to dismantle the criminal networks. This was after the four China nationals were arrested on connection with the canning of a Kenyan staffer at Chez Wou Restaurant in Nairobi.
“Same mistakes: Intelligence agency admitting to knowledge of illegal aliens in Kenya, whom they cannot even get deep into ‘who smuggles them here’ & Indians too. As usual, paying lip service to cheers from Kenyans. #BiasedIntelligence”, Lagaless wrote.
The legendary hashtagger as his bio reads further continued that bloggers pay the price for exposing criminal rings who then use police to arrest the same bloggers.
“… Then they’ll be used by the same criminals to arrest bloggers who expose the human trafficking rings and plant evidence on them’, he continued.
Cases of mistreatment
Cases of slavery and mistreatment of Kenya workers by some sections of society, owners of businesses have been documented more in recent times than ever before.
Prominent bloggers such as Cyprian Nyakundi and Robert Alai have written articles showing the sad case of mistreatment of Kenyans in various companies in the country.
The police are often told about how illegal and undocumented Chinese and Indian are working in the country but they don’t get to the bottom of the matter.
The Department of Immigration has often been seen as a conduit necessitating the human trafficking where officials are paid a tidy sum to look the other way.
