Uhuru has no time to campaign for Mariga in Kibra mini polls

Handlers of President Uhuru Kenyatta have pointed that the head of state will skip Mariga’s campaigns in Kibra mini poll. Mariga who is said to be DP Ruto’s project as a muscle flexing rehearsal with ODM’s Raila Odinga ahead of 2022.

Mariga’s candidature has suffered blows from unclear voter registration, not matching dates of birth and more. He was however cleared by the IEBC’s Dispute Resolution Committee chaired by Wafula Chebukati. The Committee ruled that Mariga was duly registered and was legible to vie.

Just a day after paying other Jubilee aspirants to pave way for Mariga, the project leader DP William Ruto was on a tour of Kibra and suggested that he would return and campaign for the former soccer star. It must be understood that Ruto was waiting for Mariga’s clearence before he hit the roads campaigning in Baba’s backyard.

Being a Jubilee candidate it would be expected that the president would campaign for Mariga in interest of the party but his handlers say that the president has many important and pressing issues to campaign for Mariga.
