The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Party allied to Deputy President William Ruto has tapped veteran journalist Wanjohi Githae as the party Director of Communications.
The pronouncement was made by party Secretary General Veronica Maina saying Githae brings on board a wealth of experience in communications and media relations.
In his new capacity, he will be in-charge of party print, broadcast and online communications.
“Mr Githae brings a wealth of experience in communications and media relations. He has worked in leading media houses including the Nation Media Group and Mediamax as a political reporter and editor for the last fifteen years.” Maina said.
The UDA party, an outfit that has morphed outfit from formerly Party of Development and Reform (PDR) has since been disowned by the President Uhuru Kenyatta’s led Jubilee Party despite Jubilee having signed a coalition arrangement with the former.
Githae’s appointment comes as the country’s political realignments are in top gear ahead of the 2022 presidential polls and the much needed effective strategy in crafting and messaging of UDA’s political agenda.
