VIDEO: Nairobi Slayqueens Already Milking Mumias West MP Peter Salasya

The story of Peter Salasya, the new Mumias East Member of Parliament, is the perfect paragon of a rise from grass to grace.

From a mere teacher in a village in Mumias to the National Assembly, against insurmountable odds.

This latest circulating video is a true testament to Mr. Salsya’s sudden change of fortunes.

The clip shows the 32-year-old former Egerton university student dancing along to Dusuma (Doucement) – a popular song by Otile Brown, featuring Meddy, an artist from Rwanda – while in the company of a raunchy slay queen.

It depicts the chap as someone certainly enjoying life to the fullest as a proud member of the 13th parliament.

Sources confirmed the apartment looks like one of those Air BnB in Stunning Homes along Turbo Road Kilimani where he was reportedly spotted this week.

Just a few months ago, the MP who vied on a Democratic Action Party – Kenya (DAP-K) had only a grass-thatched house in his village and his supporters had to collect little cash they could to help him put up a semi-permanent house.

The candidate, who relied on boda boda to move around during the campaign period, also got help from Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, who offered him a vehicle to help him with his campaigns after defecting from the ODM party.

He garnered 12,140 votes to win the Mumias East race. His main challenger, David Wamatsi of the Amani National Congress (ANC) party, came second with 9,043 votes while Benson Mapwoni, who had been endorsed by immediate Mumias East MP Benjamin Washiali, finished third with 5,118 votes.
