There is confusion after Police gave contradicting information after they allegedly assualted a lorry driver to death.
The family of Abdul Rahman Hassan (61) says he was beaten to death by the police.
The Head of the police in Mbeya, Albert Chalamila said he has commissioned a committee of inquiry about the death of Abdul.
Yesterday, the police said that the driver had medical complications.
“Jeshi la Polisi mkoani Mbeya limesema dereva wa lori, Abrahaman Hussein (61) aliyefariki dunia muda mfupi baada ya kumkamata alikuwa anasumbuliwa na ugonjwa wa homa ya mapafu,” Deputy head of police in Mbeya Jerome Ngowi said.
The videos doing rounds on the interwebs show 4 police officers forcing out the driver.
