Unemployed youths from all over the country Friday morning flocked the Holden Mall in Kakamega seeking to be apply for a listed job by Chandarana Supermarkets which is set to open a branch in the town further emanating the struggling employment rate in the country.
A video of hundreds of people lining up with documents circulating all over Social Media is enough proof and should be a wake up call to the government which promised jobs but has over and over failed to provide.
This is in the wake of Nairobi, Mombasa and Kisumu which are the most visited cities by Kenyan youths seeking jobs performing abysmally in youth employment according to 2019 census data.

According to the new data Kenyan youth looking for work in the Central and Eastern regions of Kenya have a higher percentage of getting employed than in any other part of the country while Counties in the North Eastern part of the country, which are are semi-arid and have low population population record the highest unemployment rates.
