Roots party presidential candidate Prof. George Wajackoyah has stormed out of the Catholic University of East Africa (CUEA) where the presidential debate is currently underway.
Wajackoyah had visited the venue not debate but to push organizers of the event to have all the four presidential candidates in a joint debate instead of separating them in two tiers.
He made the move to shiver from facing off with Mr. Mwaure but to confront the secretariat which he accused of failing to respond to his letter concerning the manner in which the debates are held.
The Roots party boss was in the company of his wife Meller Luchiri when he told the Press that he was not there to take part in the debate but to confirm whether if his demands had been met or not.
“I am not going to debate unless we are four, that is what I have come to confirm, they never responded to my letter. If the media wants to corrupt the intelligence of this society, if the media wants to run corruption in this country, if the media itself can do what they have done, to hell with them,” Wajackoya said.
Prof. Wajockoya is the second presidential candidate to boycott the debates after Azimio La Umoja candidate Raila Odinga also announced that he will not take part in the debate.

Raila is avoiding a duel with Dr. William Ruto of Kenya Kwanza Alliance after his affiliates Martha Karua and Polycarp Igathe were outmatched by Rigathi Gachagua and Johnson Sakaja who are allied to the DP.
Furious Wajackoya nearly slapped a security guard at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) after he jumped out of his car and tried to engage the guard.
“So you want my wife to walk from here,” Wajackoya posed.
The violent stance by the Roots party boss also mirrors that of Odinga who plotted the 1982 coupe against the former President Daniel Moi and is also known for organizing chaos, violent protests and mass action after losing in presidential polls.
Wajackoyah is running on a platform to legalize bhang, introduce snake farming and hang corrupt individuals. Mwaure is promising fight corruption, Odinga wants to carry on with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s poor economic policies while Dr. Ruto has vowed to fix the debt ridden economy by empowering hustler enterprises and creating employment.
Mr Mwaure who debated alone after Wajackoyah stormed out of the venue stated that he will relook into the CBC program with a motive to improve it.
He explained that he finds the new curriculum very costly as he promised to hire more teachers and also improve police service and welfare.
Mwaure’s plans on education and police service mirrors those of Kenya Kwanza Alliance which has also vowed to review CBC, deal with the teachers shortage and improve salaries and welfare for both teachers and policemen and women.
He claimed that he is the real deal as he trashed Wajackoyah for driving to the venue and dramatically storming out without participating in the debate.
